The illegal immigration protests on May Day are upsetting 70 percent of all Americans. Many Americans believe that the United States of America is a nation of immigrants but they believe that if you immigrate to the United States you must come legally. Most Americans also will admit that the illegal immigration process is to cumbersome and needs to be streamlined. The protesters marching are pissing off most Americans and have prompted them to call their elected representatives to stop illegal immigration. It appears that the protesters marching for illegal aliens and illegal immigration rights and their efforts are indeed backfiring. Some conspiracy theorists believe that the President of Venezuela and the President of Mexico are backing financially these marches. E-mail jokes and illegal immigration articles about the protests have hit the Internet like wildfire and accounted for five percent of all e-mails sent in the last week. Apparently the silent majority is getting very pissed off. Does this mean the illegal alien and illegal immigration protesters who are marching and boycotting our country are doing more harm than good to their own cause? Many news reporters believe this is the case and if you talk to the average American at any coffee shop today they will tell you the same. This is definitely something to consider and we should think of this in 2006. |
