When Senator Lieberman moves his campaign to the libertarian ticket he will be re-challenging the young up and coming Democrat that beat him in the primary election. If the young democrat wins again he will replace Lieberman and the Democrats will lose yet another very strong politician who knows how to get things done in Washington DC. If Lieberman wins that will indeed be a huge upset for the Democratic Party due to his switching parties. Either way the Democratic Leadership is diminished and rendering its self un-affective and if Senator Lieberman wins, he will then run for President on the Democratic Ticket or the Libertarian ticket? If he runs pro-war on the Libertarian Ticket but Democratic minded then he will pull votes from both sides of the isle and alter the Presidential election in 2008. This could be a huge shake up and end up losing the Democrats the Presidential Election as they try to distance themselves from Lieberman and go far left instead of the center and therefore split more Democrat Votes than Republican votes. Lieberman and the Democratic Liberalism are now at odds and this will be very interesting to watch indeed. Consider all this in 2006. |
